With a Wi-Fi cartridge, stream virtually any content to your Game Boy

Editor's Take: The Game Boy introduced millions to the worlds of gaming in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. It's remarkable that even after all these years, it still inspires gamers and enthusiasts to think outside the box and push the boundaries of what is possible with an aging handheld.

Sebastian Staacks' latest creation exemplifies this. A Game Boy cartridge was created by the YouTuber that adds Wi Fi to the old console. He used the cart to stream Grand Theft Auto V onto his vintage console in his latest video.

Staacks explains in great detail how he can stream at 160x144 pixels at 20 frames per seconds. Staacks can even play GTA V with the Game Boy's controls. However, there are some limitations.

He didn't even bother to connect the audio cables. The Game Boy has only eight buttons. That screen is a bit scary. This is still quite impressive, mainly because it works on an unmodified Game Boy.
